I wanted to give this award and my thanks to Brian Miller @bmiller007 and @dVersePoets for all the support and time he & the poetry community have shown towards me. So here I am now….writing my story in the past tense…..although still some way  to go I think……I need to get back to work for one……try and figure out what my ‘normal’ life is going to look like. Much better than it looked this time last year I can tell you. I’ve come a long way….but no doubt I’ll still have my ‘down’ days… but I’ve learnt how to ride them out….how to think positively….not to let them overwhelm me. A lot of this is down to my support –  ‘Team Louise’  – my psychiatrist and psychologist; my key worker and employment support worker; my counsellor who taught me mindfulness; my Gp who treated me with  kindness and sympathy and my friends who listened (you find out who your  ‘real’  friends are when you go through something like this!) and  my church and my faith.

But I’d also like to take this opportunity to give a big  thank you to everyone in my ‘online’ world who have visited and followed my blog and for all the lovely comments I’ve received. It’s wonderful to think that there are so many caring and concerned people out there…..
